Sandro Rados was born in Winterthur, Switzerland on the 10th of March 1990.
He has directed a number of commercials, short films and music videos. He studied at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg and the Korean National University of Arts in Seoul. His work includes brand films and campaigns for companies such as Nike, SWISS, BMW, Ecosia, GUCCI and Louis Vuitton.
His Film for Ecosia Weird Search Requests, became Ecosia’s first global campaign and received a Vimeo Staff Pick, a Young Director Award in Cannes, the German Commercial Film Award, Gold at ADC Germany, with further recognition from Ciclope Awards and Berlin Commercial.
His branded short film Nike Ajumma Energy was awarded Best New Director at Shots EMEA Awards in London, which led to being signed by Ridley Scott Associates (RSA UK).
His short film Dignity Keeper, co-financed by ARTE and SWR, was nominated for the German Short Film Award and screened at European festivals incl. Max Ophüls Film Festival and Hof International Film Festival.
